Antalya has 300 sunny days a year, but the experience splits cleanly into peak summer, shoulder season and winter. Here is what each month actually looks like.
January-February — the quiet shoulder
16 °C day, 7 °C night, sea 17 °C (no swimming). Many luxury hotels close for renovation. Golf courses run at off-peak rates — the cheapest five-star golf weeks of the year.
March-April — spring opens
Hotels reopen, mountains still green from winter rain. Sea climbs from 18 to 20 °C — too cold for most swimmers, perfect for hiking the Lycian Way.
May-June — the sweet spot
24-28 °C, sea 22-25 °C, dry days. Caretta turtles nest at Belek and Çıralı. Our most-booked weeks.
July-August — peak everything
32-38 °C, sea 27 °C. Hotels at 95% capacity, flights expensive. Mountain trips become impractical 11:00-15:00. Plan early starts and late afternoons.
September-October — second sweet spot
Heat breaks, sea still 25 °C, kids back at school. Many regulars rate this as the best month.
November-December — short days, cheap rates
Rain returns, occasional thunderstorms. The luxury hotels that stay open run shockingly low rates. Day-trip range narrows due to early sunset.
