Antalya Airport (AYT) handles ~35 million passengers a year, but for a six-hour window each night the whole building goes quiet. If your flight lands at 03:00, here is what to expect and how to make the first hour of your holiday smooth.
Terminal 1 vs Terminal 2 at night
Most night charters land at Terminal 2 (international). Terminal 1 (domestic) sees almost no movement after 02:00. The shuttle bus between terminals runs every 20 minutes 24/7, but you almost never need it for night arrivals.
What's open between 02:00 and 06:00
- Currency exchange counters — at least two stay open all night, including weekends.
- Pharmacy in the arrivals hall — until 02:00, then again from 05:30.
- CarrefourSA mini-market — open 24/7, with bottled water and SIM cards.
- Turkcell / Vodafone SIM kiosks — staffed only until 23:30, automated kiosks 24/7.
- Coffee chain (Starbucks) — closes at 23:00, reopens 05:30.
Meeting your driver
SooTransfer drivers wait at the meeting point right outside the arrivals exit, holding a printed name sign. At 03:00 the hall is so empty you will see the driver before you see the sign. If for any reason you do not — there is a free Wi-Fi network "Antalya Airport Free" and our WhatsApp number works without a Turkish SIM.
Walking distance, in minutes
From the aircraft door to a Mercedes in the car park is roughly 18 minutes if you have hand-luggage only, 28 minutes with hold-luggage when the conveyor is busy. Add 5 minutes if you change SIMs at a kiosk.
